Studio Season
Between Stitches and Seasons – Entry III
As the holiday season draws to a close, I think we’re all starting to feel the calm after the festive chaos, but this time is especially quiet for me. The hum of my sewing machine and rhythm of sketching feel more contemplative.
Our latest Sapulpa Fashion House collection was a personal triumph, but I hear the call from the pieces asking for more. More love, more life, more time. Perfectionism is one of the creative’s biggest obstacles, and sometimes it can be all consuming. This comes from a place of wanting to give all of the respect and appreciation for your ideas and dreams. Figuring out the balance between giving more attention where it’s due, and chasing the impossible is a journey each creative needs to find their own way through.
For me, I feel called to lean harder into the storytelling that drives my work. Each piece has its own story to tell, and it’s my job to ensure it gets told properly. In a world of consumerism and raging deadlines, our work blooms in patience and respect. Breath of Earth is ready to take its FULL breath this coming spring. Our Breath of Earth collection is continuing to bloom and breathe into something more.
At the same time, I’m slowing down to give deeper attention to what’s ahead. I’m allowing us the time and presence needed to fully develop our Fall 2026 work. Learning for previous mistakes and giving this collection the time it needs.
All of this to say: you may feel a sense of deepening, and that’s exactly what we’re going for. The journals will continue to open these quiet corners of the studio to you ; thoughts, sketches, the slow unfolding of new ideas. Nothing is paused; it’s only deepening.

So I move deeper into this studio season; a quieter, more intentional period of making and refinement, I’m also simplifying the way I share my thoughts and reflections with you.
We will be shifting from Ghost.io to Substack. The Between Stitches and Seasons entries will be exactly what you signed up for; quiet moments from the corners of my studio, but it will be through an app & website I feel is more accessible, user friendly and easier for you all to engage over time.
Substack is accessible through the app and online website as well. You can use it as often as you’d like (there are many interesting articles and conversations I’ve discovered myself), or just subscribe to my page and await the email to deliver you each new entry!
This shift aligns with our goals of more presence and a clearer path. I hope you all tag along for this wild ride!
